How to control the drug residues in broilers

Drug residue is an insurmountable problem in broiler production. The main reason why the export of broilers in China has been blocked in recent years is that drug residues do not meet the standards of importing countries. Here, "drug residue" refers to veterinary drugs (antibacterial drugs, anticoccidial drugs, feed additives), pesticides (insecticides, rodenticides, etc.), and other chemical agents. Broiler breeders know very little about the drugs and chemicals used in the broiler body. Some people do not add drugs according to the standards for economic benefits. When medicines and chemicals enter the chicken body with feed or drinking water, or are inhaled by chickens from the air, there will be residue in the chicken. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt good husbandry management methods to control the occurrence of drug residues from various aspects of production. First, farms and buildings must be carefully and carefully selected to check for harmful substances in the soil. Broiler farms often use farmland or plastic greenhouses. Prior to this, they should be aware of the local pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and veterinary drugs (such as DDT, dimethoate, and gram balls, etc.), and collect soil samples for testing. Harmful substances in the soil not only have a direct impact on the broilers raising the ground, but also cause pollution to the water source of the broiler farm. 2. Select a building site with high topography, dryness, ventilation and drainage. The location of the chicken farm is not to be built in low-lying wetlands and in the foothills. If you choose a slope, it is advisable to have more than 10% below the slope, otherwise it will cause inconvenience or increase investment. Drainage ditch should be lower than the road, and try to do hard treatment (such as brick, cement structure), so as to effectively control the secondary pollution caused by the sewage leakage surface. Choosing the chicken house not only needs to be overwhelming in the entire area, but also maintains a certain distance from the village and the main road. At the same time, it must consider the impact on the broiler when spraying crops such as crops and vegetables in the surrounding plots. These chemical synthetic substances pollute broiler chickens in the air or on the ground and cause damage to the health of the flock. Chemicals used in crops and farmland are not allowed in chicken farms. 3, Choosing building materials should be cautious. Industrial waste materials must not be used, especially waste materials such as chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Used construction timber, such as sleepers such as railroads that are not treated with chemicals, and synthetic boards often contain chemicals that are harmful to poultry. 4, water, power supply should be sufficient, stable transport of feed, products should be convenient; easy to prevent epidemic and prevent other natural damage, to avoid environmental pollution, but also to prevent chicken farms become a source of pollution of the surrounding environment. Second, feed 1, feed additives in the standard should be added in strict accordance with the Ministry of Agriculture related feed and additives standards. Drugs banned from use in the importing country (such as various sulfa drugs, olaquindox, etc.) and anticoccidial drugs (such as grams of ball powder, coccidiosis, etc.) should be prohibited or replaced with other high-potency low-residue drugs. 2. Medicated feeds and non-medicated feeds must not be mixed. Late feeds for broiler production should not contain drugs. Therefore, the feeds of different periods cannot be mixed together to avoid misuse and cause drug residues. The final feed should be used at least 7 days before the broiler is slaughtered. Therefore, when the final material is changed, it is necessary to completely eliminate the previous feed, and to clean the tanks, food tanks, and other equipment. 3, to strengthen the storage of feed, to prevent mildew in the feed moisture. Feed units and breeders must be careful when storing feed. Choose dry and ventilated places during storage and check them frequently (such as summer rainy season). It is not allowed to pile together feeds, medicines, disinfectants, rodenticides, cordides, or other chemicals. The place where the feed is stored should be as hygienic as possible to eliminate flies and rats. Do not feed broilers with mildewed feed, as this can cause broiler disease and incur harmful toxin residues. 4, domestic feeding units and households often choose plastic products, their products such as material buckets, plastic food troughs must be non-toxic harmless drug residue. Otherwise, some soluble chemical toxicants are slightly soluble in water and can also cause chronic poisoning or drug residue in broilers. Third, the safe use of drinking water and disinfectants The use of broiler drinking water not only to detect microbial content, but also to detect the content of harmful substances (domestic broiler feeding units and farmers can hardly do this). Excessive levels of bacteria can still be saved through disinfection measures, and harmful substances can only be abandoned if they exceed the standards. The use of disinfectants in the production of broilers is the same as the use of other drugs. When selecting drugs, not only must their effectiveness be taken into account, but also the residual drug content must be determined. Fourth, strict drug management is a key measure to control drug residues. 1, according to the health of chickens and antibody monitoring to develop a reasonable immunization program to control the occurrence of various diseases and reduce the dosage. 2. All drugs used, including anticoccidial drugs, antibacterial drugs, and disinfectants, must be analyzed for drug residues in the laboratory, and must not contain drugs prescribed by the importing country, such as grams of ball powder. 3. Strengthen technical service and drug management. Through the publicity and education on the dangers of drug residues, each broiler feeding unit and keeper has learned the harmful effects and serious consequences of unauthorized drug abuse. 4. The company that abuses drugs without permission from the feeding unit and the breeding household, especially the company that exports broilers, should be described as an important clause in the contract.
