Han Mei successfully cloned a monkey embryo but failed to transfer the embryo test

The research team of Professor Huang Yuxi of Seoul National University cooperated with the American research team and successfully cloned the monkey embryo. However, the experiment of transplanting cloned embryos into 25 monkey monkeys that acted as the agent of the mother monkey was unsuccessful. At the United States’s Huang Yuxi’s telephone interview with Yonhap News Agency on the 25th, he said that we participated in the research project of the cloned monkey embryo of the research group of the University of Pittsburgh, Gerald Saiteng, although the monkey embryo was successfully cloned in the manner of cloned cells. But no monkey was cloned. Saiteng was the first author of the research paper, and the paper will be published in the November issue of the well-known American scientific journal Development Biololgy. Huang Yuxi said that this study is a study by the U.S. research team applying South Korea’s embryonic stem cell research to primates. It has been previously inferred that if the nucleus is removed from the egg cells of monkeys used for cloning studies, the protein will be lost at the same time, and the cloned embryos will be difficult to survive, but this study overturns this deduction. Huang Yuxi said that in the future Dr. Saiteng will continue to study the reasons for the failure of cloning monkeys. In addition, two researchers from the Korean research team will also participate in the research work of the project.
