The median lethal dose of alcohol extracts to rats by intraperitoneal injection was 1.93 g/kg. Some of the fleas were less toxic, and 2 g/kg intraperitoneally in rats did not cause death. Centella asiatica has subcutaneous injections of 0.04 to 0.05 g/kg on mice and rabbits that can produce symptoms of poisoning; 0.2 to 0.25 g/kg increases bleeding time and causes bleeding. Oral 1 g/kg can tolerate both mice and rabbits.
