Four factors cause celery black heart rot

In the growth process of celery, black rot and other symptoms often occur due to pathogen infection, plant nutrient deficiency, etc., and measures should be taken to prevent it.

Black rot is a disease caused by the infection of Stenodestria and the pathogens invade from the base of the stem or the base of the petiole, causing the disease to grow near the ground and then invading upwards, causing the heart to rot. The diseased part is dark brown and rotten. Sometimes it produces black spots (spore germs). Mainly caused by seed bacteria, seedlings can cause falls to death, most of them occur after transplanting, resulting in a large number of plant deaths. Can be sprayed at the beginning of the disease, such as propinol zinc, thiophanate-methyl and other drugs.

Soft rot is a bacterial disease that causes decay of stems and petioles. At the beginning of the disease, the leaves resemble boiled water scald, and then the color becomes darker, causing odor, often causing the stem to break. Many bacteria invade the wound and spread it by water. Can be sprayed at the beginning of the disease to prevent the use of agricultural streptomycin sulfate, copper noble 27.12% basic copper sulfate suspension agent and other drugs.

Boron-deficient celery is sensitive to boron. Due to lack of boron in soil or nitrogen deficiency caused by drought and partial nitrogen fertilizer, the plant will suffer from boron deficiency, which will cause stalks and petioles to crack, and bacteria invade, causing the celery heart to turn black and rot. The affected plots should be supplemented with boron fertilizer in time.

Calcium-deficient soils in areas with high acidity and high precipitation are susceptible to calcium deficiency. Partial application of nitrogen fertilizers and soil drought will aggravate the condition. Scientific fertilization should be paid attention, and organic fertilizers must be added. In severe wards, when there are 7 to 8 leaves of celery, calcium chloride solution or calcium nitrate solution is sprayed, once every 7 days, and even sprayed 3 to 4 times.
