"Great Wall" achieved his dream

"If you say that life is like a glass of wine, then the process of going to society, I began to ferment from the Great Wall Company, the Great Wall has trained me, gave me nutrition, let me achieve my dream." With regard to his own life experience, Ma Yongming always feels excited about the training of the company.

The Huaiqi Basin, where the Sanggan River Basin is located, is one of China's famous grape producing regions. The biggest contact with Ma Yongming, who grew up here, is the grape. In the 1980s, the Great Wall Winery was well-known locally, and the wine industry still belongs to the rising industry in Chaoyang at the time. Ma Yongming of the student age, like his classmates, dreamed of working in the prestigious Great Wall Winery, and wanted to witness the process of changing the grape that Guo Moruo praised as “the Pearl of the North” into a nectar. “I was fortunate that after graduation I was assigned to the winery where I wished, and from there I began my winemaking career. At the beginning of my work, I was convinced with the belief that I would make good wine. Until now, I never gave up.” Yongming is glad that he can embark on the road of winemaking. Since then, he has devoted himself wholeheartedly to his work and diligently studied winemaking techniques. During that time, everything was happy and fulfilling for a young man who could work in his favorite position.

In 1988, Ma Yongming left the school and entered the China Agricultural Great Wall Wine Co., Ltd., starting from a technician. In 1998, Ma Yongming became the company's production manager. He has already stood out in production and technology. After ten years of sharpening his sword, Ma Yongming, who embarked on a management position, did not slack off and created one miracle after another with his colleagues in the production department. During his tenure as a production manager, he achieved brilliant results: he paid close attention to product quality and formulated a strict supervision system. The Great Wall brand dry red and dry white products always maintained a 100% pass rate; he exerted technical expertise, strengthened management, and tapped potentials. Organize production so that the output will grow at a rate of 30% year-on-year; strict management, reduce consumption, reduce costs, and save material value of nearly 40 million yuan for the company...

These may just be part of Ma Yongming's impressive achievements in the Great Wall of Shacheng. He has won many awards and patents. In 2010, Ma Yongming was formally appointed as the head of the COFCO Liquor (Ningxia) project by COFCO. Subsequently, he was elected as the general manager of COFCO Great Wall Wine (Ningxia) Co., Ltd. and COFCO (Ningxia) Grape Cultivation Co., Ltd. by the board of directors of COFCO Jinghong International Co., Ltd. At that time, the 20,000-mu vineyards planned by the project had just started construction. In front of Ma Yongming, there was an unprecedented wasteland desert. However, in Ma Yongming's eyes, he saw hope and saw the waves of the Xixia homeland. Million acres of vineyards.

“Before I was appointed as the project leader of Ningxia, I visited Ningxia on many occasions, and the Helan East Mountain Production Area left a deep impression on me. The blue sky with floating clouds was sunburned. When I learned that I was appointed as the “Principal of the Ningxia Project,” I firmly believe that the hard work of the COFCO people's sweat in the fertile land we are pursuing will surely cultivate ten thousand mu of vineyards. We believe that we can Build a first-rate winery without fear.” Ma Yongming also clearly remembered his determination when he had just set foot on this hot land.

Two years later, the construction of the Great Wall of Ningxia is progressing smoothly. Whenever he talks about the vineyard under the Helan Mountain, Ma Yongming’s words are always full of pride. “Twenty thousand mu of own vineyards and vineyards are the best sunshine slopes in the core area of ​​Helan Mountain East. It is an alluvial fan sand soil that has never been cultivated or polluted. In the near future, high-quality organic grapes will grow here.” Ma Yongming is full of confidence in this park under the mountain.

In the conversation with Ma Yongming, what I learned most was patience, the patience of a winemaker. "Vineering and wine making can't be eagerly awaited. Just like our vineyard was just built, sorting stones, planting shallow vines, planting farmyard fertilizers, and adopting drip irrigation technology, these can not be sloppy. With patience, we can make good wine. Today, apart from high-quality vineyards, Ma Yongming carries out his mature brewing process and begins his new winemaking life in the more than 50,000 cubic meters of underground cellars and modern brewing workshops that have been built. High-quality grape raw materials, professional wine-making team and perfect infrastructure are all solid foundations for the COFCO Great Wall to take root in Ningxia.

Under the care of the organization, from a single person, it gradually developed into a vibrant Ningxia project team, from waterless, no electricity, no road, a deserted Gobi Desert, to the thriving growth of a thousand acres of Portuguese gardens, and tons of workshops. From then on, the bitterness of the period can be imagined, but Ma Yongming did not complain, he always showed a confident smile. However, COFCO has not forgotten these pioneers who are far away from the borders and awarded the Ningxia project team to COFCO Wine and the China Food Excellence Team for three consecutive years. He was awarded the “Top Ten Moving Figures” award for Chinese food last year.

Winemaking, but also brewing life

This year is the third year that Ma Yongming left the Sanggan River to get down to Helan Mountain. From time to time, he remembered the quiet moon on the Sanggan River, and remembered Shacheng, where the dream started. “Actually, whether it is in the Great Wall of Shacheng or the Great Wall of Ningxia, as long as there are grapes brewing wine, using mature technology, using familiar container equipment, facing the same passionate colleagues. When he mentions his hometown, Ma Yongming will often remember his family who is thousands of miles away. The lover is a doctor, and the children are studying in other places. Living in the foothills of Helan Mountain in Ningxia, Ma Yongming fell in love with photography, and every piece of grass could be a landscape in his viewfinder. Often accompanied by one or two photos of their own poetry, icing on the cake. "In the days of Ningxia, there are both challenges and fun. I took my dreams to the desert and the Gobi. I also used cameras and networks to record the roads I had walked through, the sweat flowing through them, and encouraged me while walking." Outside of work, Ma Yongming will open the computer, sort out his work, record the work bit by bit, and record the strong growth of the Great Wall of Ningxia.

The wine companion Ma Yongming spent more than 20 years in wine, wine tasting, and intoxicated with wine. Wine leads his work and life and is the most important resume of Ma Yongming's life. "My most valuable asset is to learn how to make my own life while brewing."
