Silkie chicken breeding method

The young chicks have underdeveloped digestive systems, so it's important to provide easily digestible feed. In the first few days, you can offer them semi-cooked millet and boiled egg yolk—mix one egg yolk with 18 chicks per day. As they grow, around 10 days of age, you can gradually introduce a more balanced diet by adding 10% to 20% cornmeal, 8% to 10% chopped green feed, 1% to 1.5% bone meal, 1% to 1.5% fish meal, and 0.5% finely ground grains that have been washed with water. By the time they reach 30 days old, you can switch to a mix of powdered feed combined with chopped vegetables, while also including bone meal, fish meal, and shell powder. It’s recommended to feed them 1 or 2 times a day with pellets like barley or millet. During the first two weeks after hatching, it's crucial to prevent bacterial infections such as paratyphoid fever and P. berghei. To do this, add 0.04% furazolidone to their feed daily. After 15 days of age, reduce the concentration to 0.01% furazolid in the feed. At 45 days old, be especially cautious about the prevention and treatment of scrub typhus (chicken tsutsugamushi disease). Vaccinate against Newcastle disease at 8, 25, and 66 days of age to ensure strong immunity. Throughout their growth, make sure to maintain proper temperature and humidity according to their developmental stage. Keep the living environment well-ventilated and properly lit. Clean food troughs and waterers daily, and disinfect them every two weeks using a hot sodium hydroxide solution. Consistent hygiene and nutrition are key to ensuring healthy, fast-growing chicks.
