Wheat brown spot

Symptoms mainly affect the lower leaves. Primary round to elliptic chlorotic lesions, later changed to purple-brown, no rims, and late diseased parts with black small particles, ie pathogenic bacteria conidia. The disease occurs in northwestern wheat areas.

The pathogen Ascellota graminicola Sacc. is known as A. bisporus and belongs to the fungus Aspergillus. Conidia are spherical, buried to half buried, diameter 118-224μm, membranous. The conidia are cylindrical to elliptic, the twin cells are colorless, and the diaphragm is slightly constricted, with a size of 17-283-6 (μm).

Transmission Pathways and Pathogenic Conditions Germs and conidia are used for winter or summer in the diseased body. Conidia are produced in the following year, and initial infection and reinfection are carried out by wind and rain. Plants grow densely, the weather is humid or the humidity in the field is large and susceptible to disease, and the base near the ground blade is heavy.

Prevention methods (1) In severe areas, avoid planting wheat in low-lying areas. (2) Proper close planting. (3) Drain the water in time after rain to prevent moisture from staying and reduce it.
