It's been a while since I've been as active here as I'd like. Life has been a bit slower-paced lately, with fewer posts and more time spent catching up on rest. But there's a special reason I want to wish everyone a Happy Father's Day today—not just for those who can express it, but also for someone who hasn't quite reached that milestone yet. He might not be able to give hugs or kisses just yet, but he's definitely on his way.
This week has been filled with mixed emotions. There were moments of pure joy, especially knowing that we're expecting again. Those few weeks have been nothing short of magical, erasing some of the lingering fears and uncertainties from earlier on.
When I was younger, I used to save treats like chocolates, Sweet Tarts, and Jolly Ranchers. I’d tuck them away in a secret spot and ration them out, savoring each one slowly. The anticipation of having something sweet waiting for me made the wait worthwhile.
But this time around, I don't want to wait too long. I want to fully embrace every single moment of this pregnancy, even though it feels fleeting. I'm ready to experience the exhaustion that comes with it, knowing it’s temporary compared to the long-term joy ahead. At eight weeks, I can already see a bump—something that took much longer to notice during my first pregnancy. It’s surreal to think about the little kicks and movements that will soon keep me awake at night, and the bassinet by my bedside where our newest family member will rest.
Time seems to stand still when you look into someone's smile, especially when they weren't here before but now they are. I've dreamed about this little one countless times, imagining how sweet and wonderful they'll be.
Life is full of these beautiful moments, and I'm soaking them all in.
