If the humidity is too high, the eggs are more prone to mold and bacterial growth. The storage room should remain cool in winter and well-ventilated in summer. It should be dry, shaded from direct sunlight, and free from pests like mosquitoes and mice.
The air in the storage area must be clean and free from strong or harmful odors. Avoid storing items such as pesticides, fertilizers, kerosene, gasoline, diesel, tobacco, or alcohol near the eggs, as these substances can contaminate the eggs and affect their viability.
Eggs should not be stored for longer than five days, ideally no more than three to four days for best results. When placing eggs in an egg tray, always position them with the small end up. This helps maintain the correct orientation of the yolk and prevents it from sticking to the shell. It's also important to turn the eggs regularly—changing their position once or twice a day ensures even development and reduces the risk of damage to the embryo.
