Hog is also an important medium for the transmission of swine pox. The cockroaches parasitic on pigs are a kind of human cockroaches, often parasitic on pigs raised in a polluted environment.

Prevention:

Porcine exudative dermatitis (leogneosis)

It is often found in young pigs from 1 week to 6 weeks of age. Pig exudative dermatitis is caused by a bite between piglets, rough ground and wall friction, and wound infections such as scratches. At the beginning of the disease, erythema appears on the skin of the anus and around the eyes, the auricle and the abdomen, and the yellowish blisters of 3 to 4 mm in size occur, rapidly rupturing, exuding clear serous or mucus, and dander, sebum and The soil is mixed; the skin becomes wet and sticky, and it is oily. It forms a cracked hard layer after drying, or has a brown scale-like crusting and itching. After the skin peels off, a bright red wound is exposed. It usually spreads to the whole body epidermis within 1-2 days. Sick piglets lose their appetite, increase their appetite, and lose weight quickly. It usually recovers after 30 to 40 days, but it affects development. Severe cases can die within 4 to 6 days. Breeding pigs or sows can also occur, but the lesions are mild and have no systemic symptoms.

Prevention and treatment: Early treatment with isoxazole and penicillin antibiotics can receive good results. The infected part can be washed with chloroform.

Necrotic bacteria

It is a zoonotic disease in which a necrotic bacterium is infested by damaged skin and mucous membranes (oral cavity). Necrotic dermatitis is more common in piglets and shelf pigs. It is characterized by necrosis and ulceration on the skin and under the skin. It occurs mostly on the side of the body, limbs and head. It seems that the external lesions are not large, but the skin has formed a large cyst. Necrotic foci, the tissue in the foci rots, and there is a large amount of gray-stained stench liquid, and finally the skin is ulcerated. Some sick pigs have ear and tail necrosis and eventually fall off. In the case of metastatic necrosis and secondary infection in the viscera, the sick pig has obvious systemic symptoms, fever, eating less or refusing to eat, often dying due to high exhaustion.

Control: first scrape the suede, rinse with hydrogen peroxide or potassium permanganate, and then apply antibiotic ointment.

Pork pox

Caused by porcine pox virus. It is transmitted by pig blood stasis, mosquitoes, flies, etc., and occurs mostly in 4-6 weeks old piglets and weaned piglets. The sick pig's temperature rises, the mental appetite is weak, and the nose and eyes have secretions. The pox is first developed on the back, abdomen, groin and inner thigh. The lesion begins as a papule, which in turn develops into a blister, which forms a scar after rupture, and forms a pustule if it is secondary to infection. Most molts fall off after 3 weeks of infection. Prevention and control: strengthen feeding management, do a good job of hygiene, eliminate cockroaches, cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies and so on. For newly purchased pigs, it is necessary to isolate and keep them for 1 to 2 weeks to prevent the introduction of infectious diseases. Isolation treatment of sick pigs, immersion of iodine glycerol after washing the affected part with 0.1% potassium permanganate solution. The environment and utensils contaminated by sick pigs should be thoroughly disinfected and the bedding should be incinerated.

Zinc deficiency: improper proportion of calcium and phosphorus in the feed, zinc deficiency, lack of essential fatty acids, will interfere with the absorption of zinc, leading to skin keratosis. More common in 7 to 16 weeks old piglets limbs, face, neck, buttocks and tail, and often bilaterally symmetric distribution, rarely mass, low mortality. The lesion was initially a small erythema, which quickly turned into a papule, and then the epidermis thickened to 5-7 mm, forming wrinkles, fissures and scales. The disease has no itching.

Control; adjust the diet structure, appropriate zinc supplementation (zinc sulfate, zinc carbonate, zinc oxide, etc.), the general zinc concentration of piglets is 40 ~ 45 mg / kg, sow 100 mg / kg.
