Puffer fish are usually raised individually. For each mu, it is recommended to stock more than 1,000 fry per mu, with each fry measuring around 3 cm. Before placing the fry into the pond, the fish bags should be soaked in the pond for a while to allow the water temperature inside the bag to match that of the pond. The feeding amount depends on the fish size: for those under 250 grams, feed should be 1% to 3% of their body weight, while for larger fish, it should be 3% to 8%. Feeding is done twice daily, between 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Fourth, disease management is essential. Common diseases affecting puffer fish include hydromycosis and enteritis. To treat hydromycosis, the drug Quanchiposa can be used. For enteritis, broad-spectrum antibiotics can be mixed into the feed for prevention and treatment. Regular monitoring and early intervention are key to maintaining healthy fish populations.
