To help farmers make informed choices, experts from the Agricultural Machinery Quality Supervision Station have shared key guidelines on how to select and use a rotary cultivator properly.
**Key Points for Purchase:**
- **Proper Matching:** Ensure the power consumption of the rotary cultivator is lower than that of the tractor it's paired with. The working width should match the tractor’s wheelbase to avoid uneven stress on the front and rear wheels.
- **Safety First:** The rotating parts must be equipped with sturdy guards. The machine should stand steadily on its own without external support. Safety warning signs and complete user manuals—including technical specs, safety instructions, assembly steps, and maintenance guides—are essential.
- **Suitability for Local Conditions:** The cultivator should be able to till at least 10 cm deep to suit rice or other crops’ growth needs.
- **After-Sales Support:** Choose a reliable seller offering maintenance services and spare parts. Ensure the product comes with a valid "Three Guarantees" service card, and verify that the after-sales commitment aligns with the national standards for agricultural machinery.
- **Certifications Matter:** Prefer products that have obtained the agricultural machinery promotion permit and bear the corresponding license certificate from the Ministry of Agriculture.

- **Avoid Overloading:** Keep the tractor wheels on uncultivated land to prevent soil compaction. Adjust the wheel spacing to stay within the cultivator’s working range.
- **Safety During Operation:** Stay away from the rotating parts. Do not approach from behind, as debris could cause injury.
- **Maintenance:** Turn off the engine before inspecting or replacing parts. Clean the machine regularly if it becomes clogged with grass or dirt.
