Chickens on the mountain should pay attention to four points

First, site selection. Chicken farms should be located in sheltered, sunny valleys where there are trees for shade and grass for the chickens to forage. In dry areas, build a simple but well-ventilated chicken house that stays warm in winter and cool in summer. This helps maintain a healthy environment for the birds. Second, feeding practices. Chickens should be raised at home for 30 to 45 days before being moved to the mountains, which can significantly improve their survival rate. During the day, they are active, basking in the sun and foraging for food. Feed them half full in the morning and midday to keep them eager for meals, and provide the final meal in the evening. The feed trough should have a wide opening at the top and a narrow mouth at the bottom, with the edges curled inward to prevent chickens from pulling out the feed or hooking it with their beaks. On summer evenings, from dusk until 10 p.m., hang lights about one meter above the coop to attract the chickens back. If there's no electricity, kerosene lamps can be used as an alternative. Always ensure clean drinking water is available. Third, management. The coop must remain cool in summer and insulated in winter. Special attention should be given to protecting the chickens from "cold spring" weather, which can be harmful. At night, let the chickens return to the coop and use a dog to guard against wild animals. Clean up chicken droppings every morning to maintain hygiene and reduce disease risk. Fourth, disease prevention. Chicks should receive the Newcastle disease II vaccine via nasal drops starting on day seven of life, with one drop in each nostril. After 60 days of raising, inject them with both the Newcastle disease vaccine and the fowl cholera vaccine, using 1 ml per chicken. Additionally, mix half a cup of vinegar with boiled water or dissolve one furazolidin tablet in 500 grams of boiled water, and allow the chickens to drink this solution regularly to support their health and immunity.
